Two women have come forward and alleged that controversial social media personality and "self-proclaimed misogynist" Andrew Tate strangled and sexually assaulted them, amidst the accusations of human trafficking and forming an organized group to sexually exploit women famously brought against the celebrity and his brother in Romania.
Knewz.com has learned that the charges brought against him in Romania include rape as well.
The latest allegations have been made by two British women and date back to over 10 years ago – when Tate was living in Luton, England – and are unrelated to the charges he faces in Romania.
One of the two women said in a statement to the BBC News that she had gone out with Tate back in 2013 and that after a few dates, she went back to his place in Luton.
"He started kissing me… and he just looked up at the ceiling and said, ‘I’m just debating whether I should rape you or not.’ Out of the blue he just grabbed me by the throat, smashed me to the back of the bed, strangling me extremely hard," the woman revealed to the outlet, adding that the 37-year-old then went on to sexually assault her.
After the incident, Tate allegedly sent her "disturbing text messages and voice notes," which have been viewed by the BBC.
"Am I a bad person? Because the more you didn’t like it, the more I enjoyed it," the social media influencer said in a voice note, according to the report.
In a text message, "Cobra" Tate wrote: "And I love raping you. And watching u let me while still debating if its a good idea or not. I like the conflict you have. And you do have it. Don't deny it."
The woman also alleged that the "Top G" tried to pass off the rape and sexual violence he inflicted upon her as a "joke."
"Are you seriously so offended I strangled you a little bit?" Tate wrote in another text message.
It was reported that the woman approached the Bedfordshire Police about the incident in 2014, by which time two other women had come forward with similar allegations against the kickboxer-turned-social media celeb.
The investigation was subsequently taken over by the Hertfordshire Police, and in 2019, a file was sent to the Crown Prosecution Service—who dropped the case because there was reportedly not enough evidence to bring criminal charges.
The other woman who spoke to the BBC about her encounter with Tate also met him in Luton.
"We got on really well and we had a few drinks," she stated, adding that they shared what she described as a "standard one-night stand."
However, on their second meeting a few months later, the woman claimed that Tate attacked her in bed. "We went to my bedroom… and we started having sex. That was when he put his hands around my throat," the woman told the BBC.
The woman shared that she was left gasping for air and eventually lost consciousness. When she came to, she saw that Tate was still having sex with her—even while she was unconscious.
"I was absolutely terrified... I just remember gasping for air… It was rape," she said. "One of the whites of my eyes had just gone completely red - apparently it's quite common in domestic abuse cases where there's been strangulation."
However, the second woman revealed that she had not gone to the police at the time, and that she has regretted the decision ever since.
Tate is currently house arrest in Romania due to the charges he faces, while prosecutors are investigating new allegations against him, including having sex with a minor and trafficking underage persons.
His brother Tristan Tate – also charged with human trafficking and has been accused of rape by a victim who has recently come forward – has been placed under special judicial control.
The new investigation into the Tate brothers, both of whom are social media influencers with millions of followers, involves a total of 35 alleged victims, including a woman who was 15 at the time of the crime, according to a BBC News report.
Tate has vehemently denied the allegations brought against him and his brothers, saying, "This is a set-up. It is absolutely disgusting. Thirty of those girls say we have done nothing wrong. Two are the mothers of our children, two have never even been here to Romania."
It was reported that if convicted, the Tate brothers face over a decade of imprisonment.
