Cher, the iconic singer and actress, has been accused of orchestrating the kidnapping of her own son, Elijah Blue Allman.

Knewz.com has learned that the accusation comes from Allman's estranged wife, Marieangela King, who claims that Cher hired a group of men to forcefully remove Allman from a New York hotel room that they were sharing.

Allman, 47, is the son of Cher and her now late second husband Gregg Allman and the details of his alleged kidnapping came to light through filed court documents.

“I was told by one of the four men who took him that they were hired by petitioner’s mother,” read the filing, via the Daily Mail.

According to the filing, Allman was attempting to reconcile with his wife, Marieangela King, at the time of the incident.

The couple had been together for 12 days, celebrating their wedding anniversary on November 30, 2022.

However, their reunion was abruptly interrupted when four men barged into their hotel room and forcibly took Elijah away.

In a statement filed in December of last year, King revealed that one of the men who kidnapped her husband claimed they were hired by Cher.

King also expressed deep concern for Elijah's well-being and whereabouts and although she mentioned that Elijah was in a treatment facility, she claimed that she was unaware of his current condition and location.

Elijah's struggles with drug addiction have been well-documented, and he has spoken openly about his past substance abuse issues.

In a 2014 interview with Entertainment Tonight (via Unilad), he admitted to starting his drug use at a young age but at the time of the interview revealed that he had been sober since 2008.

“[I] started with drugs around the same time that we all did, around 11. I mean it’s just what you did, it’s just what everybody did,” he said.

Cher and Elijah's relationship has been described as tumultuous, with extended periods of silence between them.

The court documents also allege that Cher asked King to leave her family home while Elijah was absent, also illustrating the tension between the singer and her daughter-in-law.

“I was not allowed to retrieve all my belongings from our primary home and residence, nor was I given the opportunity to inventory our assets,” King’s court filing reads.

The complaint continues: “Since August 2022, I have been told that I am not allowed to see or speak to [Elijah] who is currently in lockdown at a treatment facility that is undisclosed to me. I am also told [Elijah] has no access to his phone.”

The accusation against Cher sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry and has raised questions about the nature of her relationship with her son. Cher also is mom to son Chaz Bono, whom she had with her late husband Sonny Bono.

The motivations behind the alleged kidnapping plot remain unclear, and further details are expected to emerge as the divorce proceedings between Elijah and King continue.

The next court date is set for October 27.
