A rule-breaking park-goer at Walt Disney World in Bay Lake, Florida is making a splash on social media.
An Instagram video shows the man jumping into the waters of the World Showcase lagoon at EPCOT, reportedly because his friends said they would give him $6,000 to do it, Knewz.com has learned.
In the video, taken on Monday, October 23 and posted by Instagram user @disfamily_adventures, the man can be heard saying "How deep is that water?" as he hangs onto a railing of the Italy Pavilion.
Others in the background say "That's gonna end badly for everybody" and "He's gonna jump!" before the man pushes himself off the railing and lands in the lagoon.
As he swims back to shore, bystanders can be heard telling the man he's going to get kicked out of the park.
"A Disney manager was on her radio before he even hit the water so when he joined his buddies, Disney security was right behind him," the person who posted the video told WOFL-TV FOX35 Orlando.
Another bystander reportedly told the news station that before the commotion, they heard the man's friends say they would give him $6,000 if he jumped into the water.
In the alleged bet, "bystanders were divided on whether the wager was for $6,000 or $60,000," the New York Post reports.
The Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules state that any "unsafe" or "disruptive behavior" is prohibited. The park says it reserves the right to require a person already admitted to leave the resort "without refund, liability or compensation" for failure to comply with this rule in order to ensure "safety, security, and order."
The lagoon dive happened about a week after Knewz.com reported on a brawl between at least five adults at Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
The fight broke out in front of the Storybook Land Canal Boats and Mad Tea Party rides in Fantasyland on Sunday, October 15.
At least five adults were involved in the scuffle, according to a video taken by Instagram user @capturedthrills. While it wasn't clear what started the brawl, the adults could be seen in the video hitting and kicking each other close to several small children.
The party who started the fight was removed from the park and no injuries were reported.
