The gigantic 43 ft statue of a nude Donald Trump that had mysteriously spawned alongside the Interstate 15 highway in Las Vegas, has since disappeared just as abruptly.
Knewz.com has learned that the statue has seen mixed reactions from the public, with many calling it "disgusting and un-American."
Entitled "Crooked and Obscene," the massive Trump statue towering at a height of over 40 feet and weighing approximately 6,000 pounds was intended as an art installation that the creators aimed to take on tour throughout the United States.
The organizers of the tour explained that the "au naturel" depiction of the Republican presidential hopeful is "intentional, serving as a bold statement on transparency, vulnerability, and the public personas of political figures," it has been reported.
The huge "art installation" graced Las Vegas with its presence for only a brief period – 48 hours – becoming one of the most interesting attractions of the state of Nevada before its abrupt disappearance.
It is as of yet unknown whether the statue has been relocated as part of the tour, or it has been taken down. It has been reported that unless there is significant outrage over the statue, the organizers intend to keep the installation up through early November—the month of the 2024 presidential elections.
According to reports, the 6,000-pound Trump statue is made of foam and rebar, and features "movable arms in a marionette-style design."
The realistic statue shows Trump with a frown on his face and open arms. The nude statue also features the uncensored version of what is the artist's impression of the former President's genitalia.
It is worth noting that the massive statue was hung from a crane less than 30 miles from the Trump International Hotel on the Las Vegas strip.
Pictures of the naked Trump statue have taken social media by storm, seeing mixed reactions from the public.
While some have labeled it "disgusting and un-American," others have tried to find humor in the erection of a massive nude statue of a presidential hopeful and former President right ahead of the presidential elections.
One such individual wrote on social media, "It’s funny to see, but I’m not sure it’s appropriate."
"I think it’s a funny, comical gesture for the up-and-coming election," Nathan Oubre, a 32-year-old gas industry worker, commented about the statue in a statement.
"Normally, you don’t see things like this, but it just gives a sign of laughter to the world seeing a big, huge statue of Donald Trump naked."
The Nevada Republican chapter, on the other hand, criticized the statue and called it an “offensive marionette, designed intentionally for shock value rather than meaningful dialogue.”
"While Democrats, especially Kamala Harris, continue to prioritize shock value over substance. President Trump is the only candidate in this race standing up for working men and women across Nevada," the Nevada GOP added.
It has been reported that smaller "obscene" effigies of Trump have previously popped up across the country, notably in New York’s Union Square, Los Angeles, Cleveland, Seattle, and San Francisco.
A series of life-size naked statues of Trump also made a public appearance – and made headlines – back in 2016, during the former President's first White House race against opponent Hillary Clinton.
One of these statues was purchased by American television personality and "paranormal investigator" Zak Bagans for about $28,000. The statue currently adorns his Haunted Museum in Vegas, per TMZ.
