A new optical illusion curated by aficionado Mia Yilin can reveal if a person is strong-willed or kind-hearted, and much like the other pictures she shares on social media, this one too has resonated with netizens for being "on point" with the results.
Knewz.com has learned that the nature-themed optical illusion shows the viewer a picture that can be interpreted as either a tiger or a tree, and based on what they see in the picture, Yilin can determine their personality type.
Sharing the new optical illusion on social media, Yilin, an Arizona-based teacher currently making her way through Stanford University – and documenting her life in a series of vlogs – said that the initial perception of the picture can say a lot about the viewer's personality.
Judging by the reaction of those who took this optical illusion "personality test," it seems the results turned out to be "eerily" accurate.
Looking at the image, if one notices a picture of a tree in autumn against the backdrop of the blue sky first, it means that the person is more of a lone wolf who functions best when operating alone.
According to Yilin, seeing the tree first means that the person is "strong-willed" and "goal-oriented"—along with the fact that they have trouble asking for help and "being vulnerable."
Reports have explained that seeing the autumnal tree first means that "your knack for out-of-the-box thinking garners praise, with your creativity and unique perspective earning admiration."
"You're recognized for your hard work and excel in your career, but your biggest gripe is resistance to overbearing control."
"Navigating a group setting might be a tough game for you, given your rock-solid confidence that your concepts are a cut above the rest. To chase your dreams to fruition, it's vital to polish your chat skills and open the door to others' perspectives," reports have further mentioned.
Yilin herself explained in the TikTok post:
"You're goal-orientated. Once you have your mind set on something you will do anything to achieve it... Because you're so strong-willed, you can struggle with asking for help and being vulnerable."
Hearing her analysis, a commenter who was seemingly awestruck by the accuracy of it wrote, "Bro.. why is she always on point," while another user commented, "Wow that was actually pretty accurate."
On the other hand, if one sees the picture of a tiger first, it reportedly means that the person is warm and generous and is often praised by their friends and family for always being there for them.
However, this person can also come off as "cold" to those not within the "circle" of people they love and care about, seemingly in a bid to not burden others with their woes.
"This habit of keeping feelings under wraps can let issues pile up and throw a wrench in forming new bonds. Letting your guard down and sharing more of yourself could really juice up your relationships," reports mentioned about the second personality type.
Yilin explained in her post, "You are someone who always seems very calm and unbothered to others, even when you're struggling within."
"You're selfless and willing to give your all to the people you love. With that being said, you can be quite impatient with people who don't know what they're doing," she added.
Over the years, Yilin has posted several optical illusions that can reportedly similarly judge the viewers' personalities.
One of the illusions she had previously posted could be interpreted as either a lit candle or the silhouette of two faces, nose-to-nose. According to Yilin, if one saw the faces first, it would mean that the person is a "resilient spirit... capable of bouncing back from any setback."
However, if one sees the lit candle, it means that they have "an uncanny ability to see beyond the surface" and that they can read other people "like an open book," according to Yilin.
