Pro-Kremlin Russian Member of Parliament Sergey Markov has suggested President Vladimir Putin should "Cut down on foreign trips" amidst mounting assassination fears following the Donald Trump incident.

Knewz.com has learned that Ukrainian Military Intelligence Chief Kyrylo Budanov has recently admitted to unsuccessful attempts made on the Russian autocrat's life.

While Russia has not made an elaborate statement on the Trump assassination attempt on Saturday, July 13, prominent Moscow politicians have been quite vocal in their comments about the Pennsylvania incident.

Former Putin advisor Markov is one of them, and a majority of his Telegram posts over the past week are notably filled with his unofficial "endorsement" of Trump, praising his running mate Senator J.D. Vance, and his comments regarding the assassination attempt.

He also posted a photo of Trump seemingly being protected by a translucent angelic figure the moment he was shot, with the caption, "Millions of people believe that the Lord God himself protected Trump from a bullet to give him a chance to save America."

However, what has gotten Russian politicians even more riled – something that was exacerbated by the attempt on Trump's life – is the statement from Ukrainian Military Intelligence Chief Budanov.

Speaking to Ukrainian media, Budanov admitted that several attempts have been made to assassinate President Putin, but "as you can see, they’re also unsuccessful so far."

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova was quick to respond to Budanov's statement, where she claimed that the attempts were paid for by the Western allies of Ukraine, alleging the culpability of the United States and other allies.

"We noted the confessions of the head of Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate Kirill Budanov [included in the list of terrorists and extremists in Russia]. Speaking in an interview for a Ukrainian newspaper on July 13, he confessed to futile assassination attempts against the President of Russia," she wrote on Telegram.

"There are no doubts that such crimes were planned and funded with direct participation of the [Western] masters of the Kyiv regime."

"[Not] one atrocity, not a single terrorist act against civilians, against representatives of authorities have never been condemned by Western countries in their national capacity or collectively, neither in the public sphere, nor in the framework of any work on international platforms," the Russian diplomat added.

Russian MP Markov voiced similar allegations against the West while weighing in on Budanov's statement to Ukrainian media:

"Yes. Putin is the goal. And not only for the SBU [Security Service of Ukraine] and the GUR [Military Intelligence Directorate] of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, but also for the special services of the USA and Britain and dozens of special services of the world subordinate to them."

"Russia has not yet decided how to respond. And so far there is no response. And this only encourages the enemy to escalate," Markov wrote on Telegram.

The pro-Kremlin political scientist added that he believes the Russian President should not make international trips for the time being to stay safe. "That is why, for example, I believe that Putin does not yet need to make visits abroad at all, even to friendly countries," he wrote.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov mentioned that following the assassination attempts on Trump as well as Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, security measures around Putin have already been boosted.

"For obvious reasons, security has already been boosted regardless of aforementioned events... The protection of the head of state is ensured at an appropriate level, everything necessary is being done, considering, of course, the international escalation of tensions in general," Peskov was quoted as saying.

Offering his two cents on the attempt on the former U.S. President's life, Peskov told reporters on the day after the incident:

"We don’t think at all and don’t believe that the attempt to eliminate the presidential candidate Trump was organized by the present power, but it is the atmosphere that has been created by this administration during the political struggle, the atmosphere around the candidate Trump prompted what America is facing today."
