Maximilian "Caesar" Andronnikov, the leader of an anti-Vladimir Putin militant group, has reportedly waged war against the Russian autocrat—and he believes Putin will fall, like his "weak pal" Bashar al-Assad, the ousted Syrian President.
Knewz.com has learned that the 50-year-old "revolutionary" is the leader of the Freedom of Russia Legion, a militant group fighting against the Putin regime.
It has been reported that members of the organization have already been deployed in Eastern Ukraine and are engaged in active combat with the invading Russian forces.
While Putin has been known to crack down on vocal critics of his government with considerable cruelty and severity, this seemingly defiant militant group leader has vowed that he is prepared to "fight to the end" in his mission to overthrow Putin.
In fact, "Caesar" believes that Putin is headed toward a predicament similar to that of the toppled Syrian President, who, after decades of family rule, was forced to flee the capital after armed rebels led by the al-Qaeda offshoot Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) poured into the city and breached the walls of the Presidential residence.
According to reports, the Assad family has held power in Syria since 1971 and established a dictatorial rule spanning over five decades whose reins were passed down from one generation to another.
Dissent against the al-Assad regime seemingly reached a boiling point when the President put a stop to democracy protests in Syria in 2011 and his "brutal" crackdowns increased in intensity.
More precisely, the anti-Putin militant group leader believes that the Russian army is moving towards the same "critical" military failure that led to the ousting of the Syrian President.
"[Assad has] used chemical weapons against his own people 200 times and he's fallen in 10 days!" Caesar said in a statement.
"The same situation can be in our country," he added.
The militant leader further said that the Ukrainian and Russian forces are "exhausted" and face a significant shortage of weapons, ammunition, and "motivated infantry."
As a result, the number of people willing to lay their lives for Putin's conquest of Ukraine is on a gradual decline, or so Caesar believes.
He added that this reported shortage of manpower is evident in the deployment of North Korean troops on the battlefield to fuel the ongoing conflicts on multiple fronts of the Ukraine war.
Caesar believes that the Russian military will soon be in a "crisis" arising from "poor morale and bad wages"—and when that time comes, Putin's regime will become vulnerable and easier to overthrow.
"It's a law, it's an old Russian proverb - Russians are very slow to begin, but are very fast to rise... Will it be invasions from territory of Ukraine? Or will it be some coup? Or some rebellion inside Russia? It is just a matter of time, we will see," Caesar further said in his statement.
He also claimed that the public support in Russia for the Ukraine invasion is dwindling, with people talking about ending "this crazy war."
In this regard, Caesar also touched upon the possibility of an intervention from the upcoming Donald Trump administration that could stop the war—although reports suggest the potential settlement between Russia and Ukraine would favor Putin and allow him to keep the land he has already annexed.
He believes that Putin would use the advances made in this leg of the Ukrainian invasion to prepare for similar future conquests.
"It's just a tactical decision, because Putin couldn't win this war... Once again he will try to split it [conquering Ukraine] into parts," Caesar said in a statement.
"In 2014 it was the 1st part of war, in 2022, the second [part] began and now, when Putin's troops are exhausted, he wants to stop it, to set it on pause to reinforce it [the army] and I clearly understand that it will pass about 3, 5, or 7 years, and the war will begin again."
"Even if the Ukrainian Government signs a peace treaty, it will not be an end of war... Both sides will prepare for the third part of this war," he added.
As a result, he believes that the only way Putin can be prevented from making a future move at all is by forcing him out of the Russian leadership—which is precisely what Caesar and his militant organization intend to do.
It is worth noting that given the threat it potentially poses to the Putin administration, the militant group's leader said that the Freedom of Russia Legion is currently a significant target for Putin's troops.
"We are fighting against the Putin regime, and this is a bright example for our citizens... Putin and his generals are very, very, very afraid of us," Caesar told The Sun U.S.
"That's why, if they will know our direction, they will bomb us," he added.
