A high schooler may have just uncovered the true reason for school dress codes - and it's disturbing.

A student recently took to TikTok while questioning her school's dress code policy, which restricts female students from showing certain body parts.

Shockingly, a male administrator is heard explaining the dress code as being in place to keep staff members and others from "feeling uncomfortable."

The teenager specifically pointed out that girls with larger breasts were targeted more for showing cleavage than others who had smaller cup sizes.

In the viral video, a girl named Anastasia is shown challenging school administrators on the dress code policy, arguing that if it's just to keep boys from gawking that there's a simple fix.

"Guys should just keep it in their pants," Anastasia says.

"Why is this school so persistent on telling girls to cover up, when really guys should just keep it in their pants?" she asks the administrators, adding, "This school is so headstrong on telling girls to cover up their shoulders, or, you know, stomach, when those things are all pretty natural."

Anastasia called the policy sexist.

"I've talked to many girls in this school," Anastasia said, "If two girls come to school wearing the same top, you know — one girl has a smaller cup size, the other one has a bigger cup size. I've heard more girls with the bigger cup size get dress coded more than the smaller ones."

Anastasia's caption on the TikTok post reads, "Our bodies aren't distracting, you're just disgusting."

A male school administrator attempted to explain the policy, which is in the handbook, but appeared to put his foot in his mouth.

"It's not the way we're looking at that, but we're just following whatever we want to do," he said. "Majority of the people do get it, but there's some people that want to challenge the system, so that's it. And a lot of staff members and people, they feel uncomfortable."

Then another girl sitting behind Anastasia questioned the explanation.

"Wait, I have a question. You said the staff feels uncomfortable with what girls wear?" she asked.

The male administrator then said "I said years past, some staff members …"

However, before he finished, he was interrupted by another administrator saying, "Hold on, guys, let's refocus for a minute."

That's where the exchange ended - and the supportive comments began.

"If the staff is uncomfortable by what minors are wearing … then the school needs to hire new staff," one person commented.

Another lauded Anastasia for her questioning of the policy.

"He just excused patriarchal misogyny. He just basically said boys will be boys. Challenge everything and keep doing what you're doing," the commenter said.
