McDonald's Test Run For Sweet Potato Fries
Stop What You're Doing: McDonald's Is Selling Sweet Potato Fries
In perhaps what is an initiative to offer healthier menu items, McDonald's has semisecretly been selling sweet potato fries at various Texas locations. It all started when the brand's account for the Texas Panhandle region tweeted a photo of the new fries, which look amazing — but that goes without saying.

Eater contacted McDonald's about the super exciting/super mysterious tweet, and a McDonald's spokesperson replied with the following: "Sweet potato fries are being tested in some Create Your Taste test restaurants in Amarillo, and we're gathering valuable customer feedback on them." So while the fries are only available on a very limited basis, if they fare well, chances are they could become a nationwide item.
