Alexis Ruginis

Alexis Ruginis is the co-founder of Veoleo, a Latinx indie press that uses art and humor to explain core concepts, teach Spanish, and transmit love for Latin American and Caribbean culture. She deeply believes that art and culture are a force for social change. As an avid learner of languages who grew up across two continents, she knows firsthand that to know a culture better is to love it better and that fostering a healthy sense of multi-cultural identity in children will have far-reaching effects in the future. Other topics she is interested in include mental health, social equity, and civil rights.
