This Video of Angelina Jolie Slowly Morphing Into Maleficent Is Absolutely Mesmerizing

Angelina Jolie makes being bad look so good. Ahead of the release of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil on Oct. 18, Disney has released a behind-the-scenes look at the process of transforming the actress into the Sleeping Beauty villain with cutthroat cheekbones. Just under a minute, the sped-up video is mesmerizing to watch.

The process begins fairly simple — Jolie's hair is braided in two pigtails and a smoky eye is applied. Then come the horns, fangs, prosthetic cheekbones, and things get a little more complicated. Meanwhile, Jolie seems completely at ease in the makeup chair as everyone around her pokes and prods. It is her second go at it, after all. Check it out ahead.
