That's a Wrap on NYFW: Here Are the Stand-Out Beauty Trends
As much as we look forward to spotting the season's best new trends every time Fashion Week rolls around, we can't help but zoom in on the tiny details that make the outfits come together. No, we're not talking about the bicep jewelry or oversize purses — we mean the beauty details.
Your hair, nails, and makeup can add that finishing touch that makes any ensemble look good (or at least make you feel that way), and the beauty looks at New York Fashion Week were no exception. A sleek, high ponytail added a sophisticated edge to a black two-piece suit. A swipe of soft pastel nail polish took a fringe dress from edgy to flirty. The biggest impact is in the details when it comes to fashion.
Now that we're nearing the end of New York Fashion Week, we're breaking down the best hair, makeup, and nail trends from the last few days. The best part: each one is so easy to wear, they could never just be relegated to the runway. From slicked-back bun hairstyles to the perfect red lip and everything in between, here are the most wearable beauty trends from New York Fashion Week 2024 that you can recreate at home.
Quartz Nails
Quartz nails popped up at the Prabal Gurung's spring/summer 2025 runway show and they might just replace your chrome obsession. The design was created by Gina Edwards using Kiss Nail products. "The nail look created for Prabal was based on the optimism for the future," Edwards says in a press release.

Dad Hats
Dad hats were all over this season, and they were pair with a variety of outfits. Jennifer Hudson was spotted wearing a New York Yankees dad hat and Shay Mitchell was spotted wearing one at the Tommy Hilfiger show.

Red Lips
Red lips were on the runway and on the streets. The shade we saw most often was similar to the one we typically see Taylor Swift wearing. Though red lipstick is as classic as trends come, expect to see it in excess this season.

Ponytail Embellishments
Dressed-up ponytails were spotted on and off the runway. We saw a lot of gold and chrome cuffs and floral accents, proving there's something for every style.
Blunt Bobs
At the Christian Cowan show, blunt bobs were the obsession. The style was created by Tresemmé partner and celebrity hairstylist Lacy Redway. Cowan says in a press release, "The character this season is sharp, she's no-nonsense, she can't have hair in her face, she's busy. She's got sh*t to do, but you'll never find her with a single hair out of place." Redway used the extra-hold hairspray from Tresemmé and set the style with a scarf to make the look perfect.
Indie Sleaze Makeup
Christian Siriano's spring/summer 2025 show was filled with indie sleaze makeup. Celebrity makeup artist Vincent Oquendo designed the "moonlight smoke show" look, which featured all Revlon products. In a press release, Oquendo says of the makeup, "This look draws inspiration from the enchanting allure of the 1920s, blending flirty, dark, and fairy tale elements with a modern twist. The soft, smoky eyes evoke a sense of mystery, while the luminous skin and delicate lips bring out a playful, yet sophisticated beauty."
