Burns also notes that the exact intensity of the color is completely left to your discretion. Not sure where to land? As is the case with any color you're trying to preserve, Burns suggests using cool water in combination with a shampoo and conditioner formulated for color-treated hair. "You can use a moisturizing mask to ensure that hair looks healthy and shiny," she says.
