A Lip Ring-Clad Lizzo Stuns Like Emo Royalty at the VMAs

Lizzo popped up on the red carpet at the 2022 MTV VMAs in Newark, NJ, wearing a stunning blue-black Jean Paul Gaultier gown with matching sheer opera gloves and combat boots. She also sported a slicked-back hairstyle and stacked Jennifer Fischer gold hoop earrings and ear cuffs, but our eyes were on the singer's deep-blue lipstick and gold (presumably) faux lip ring.

Lizzo's bold lip look was actually created using eyeliner, rather than lip products. Celebrity makeup artist Alexx Mayo accomplished the deep-blue-black color by using a combination of the Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'N' Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in Bedroom Black and the Charlotte Tilbury Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in Super Blue.

The "About Damn Time" singer is scheduled to hit the stage as a performer later tonight, and she's also nominated for multiple awards this year, including artist of the year, song of the year, best pop video, video for good, and song of summer.
