Grab your notepads, everyone, because Tracee Ellis Ross is sharing a few more of her skin-care secrets. The Black-ish actress hopped on Instagram on April 13 to talk to her 7.9 million followers about a little trick she's been using to keep her hands from getting dry and cracked from washing them so much over the past few weeks. Her secret? Bag Balm ($8), a lanolin-based ointment known for treating skin issues like sunburn, diaper rash, chapped skin, and cuts.

"I've always had dry skin . . . I remember when I was in high school, I would use Vaseline," Ross says in the video. "I don't use Vaseline anymore, but I use a salve. I use Bag Balm, and I also have used Egyptian Magic."

Ross goes on to discuss how she feels like her hands "have aged like 10 years in the last month," leading her to stress the importance of hand health and detailing just how she likes to apply her Bag Balm. Her trick is to lather her hands in the moisturizer at night and then cover them in a pair of old, white socks before leaving them on for about 10 minutes.

"It's totally worth it, and it's actually like a little gentle, loving version of self-care to replenish the moisture in your hands," she says. Go ahead and stock up on Bag Balm while you can.
