The Nude Lip Colors Kim Kardashian Actually Wears

Kim Kardashian has many signature aspects to her iconic look: her lush lashes, her chiseled cheekbones, and (of course) her plump posterior. But anyone hoping to re-create her beauty style would be remiss if they skipped her go-to nude lip. Practically 90 percent of the time, Kardashian eschews classic reds or vampier tones, instead opting to step out wearing a muted blush tone on her pucker.

While her longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic has admitted to mixing several colors together to achieve the right hue, he took to Kardashian's now defunct app long ago to share his favorite nude shades. In addition to applying a mix of nude lipsticks, he also uses lip liner and lip gloss to perfect the look. His exact process? He begins by lining her mouth with a lip pencil, starting at the outer corners and going in to the middle (this helps to keep the liner symmetrical). To get a more matte look without drying out the lips he uses a creamy nude lipstick formula and blots off the oil with tissue. This makes it possible to achieve that matte finish.

So which lip products should you add to your cart to capture Kardashian's famous nude lip? In addition to Dedivanovic's top picks, we dug up one of Kardashian's favorite lipstick and lip gloss combos, a Charlotte Tilbury lipstick named after the celebrity, a drugstore pick, and more. With options ranging from barely-there pink to shimmering peach, there's bound to be a shade at a price point that's for you. Read on to see the colors that will help you capture the look at home.

A Drugstore Nude Lipstick

A Drugstore Nude Lipstick

Maybelline Color Sensational The Creams, Cream Finish Lipstick in Nude Lust ($8)

Dedivanovic used Maybelline Creamy Mattes Lip Color in Nude Embrace on Kardashian in a drugstore makeup tutorial. While this exact color is out of stock, Maybelline Color Sensational The Creams, Cream Finish Lipstick in Nude Lust is an excellent swap. It has a similarly hydrating and long-lasting formula, and couldn't be a better deal for less than $10.

A Shimmery Peach Lip Gloss

Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss ($20)

Dedivanovic used Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Dainty, which has been discontinued, to create a plump-looking pout on Kardashian for the 2015 Time 100 gala. For a similar look, dry this golden peach hue instead.

A Supermatte Peachy-Nude Lipstick

Urban Decay Lip Stick in June Gloom ($21)

Dedivanovic applied Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Stark Naked, a supermatte neutral shade that's been discontinued, to Kardashian's pout for the 2015 MTV VMAs. For a similar light and neutral look, try it in June Gloom.

A Sheer Pink-Nude Lipstick

A Sheer Pink-Nude Lipstick

MAC Cosmetics Lipstick in Angel ($23) and Nars Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight ($28)

Long ago, Kardashian herself revealed that this sheer, sweet pink-nude shade is one of her favorites. Try layering it with the Nars lip gloss for the ultimate early-2000s-era Kardashian lip.

A Beige-Pink Lipstick

A Beige-Pink Lipstick

MAC Cosmetics Retro Matte Lipstick in Bronx ($23)

Kim Kardashian gave off dreamy mermaid vibes at the 2016 MTV VMAs, and her beige-pink lipstick was a key component of the look. While the exact lipstick she wore — Laura Mercier's Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Sensual — is out of stock, this option from MAC is a dead ringer. Try dusting highlighter on the cupid's bow (like Dedivanovic did!) for a sultry effect.

A Nude Lipstick Named After Kim Kardashian

A Nude Lipstick Named After Kim Kardashian

Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Kim K.W. ($35)

Dedivanovic recommends this one as the perfect nude-pink. Charlotte clearly named this shade after the nude-lipstick-loving Kardashian.
