Some of Eddie Murphy's 10 Kids Are Following in His Footsteps — Meet Them All

Eddie Murphy isn't just known for his long movie career — he's also known as a father, 10 times over! Yup, the A-list star and Academy Award-nominated actor known for tons of movies — including "The Nutty Professor," "The Haunted Mansion," "Coming to America," "Dreamgirls," and the Shrek" film series — has a total of 10 children: Eric, Bria, Christian, Myles, Shayne, Zola Ivy, Bella Zahara, Angel Iris, Izzy Oona, and Max Charlie Murphy. Eddie, 62, shares two of his children with his fiancée, Paige Butcher. He also had five children during his marriage to Nicole Murphy and had one child each from prior relationships with Paulette McNeely, Tamara Hood, and Mel B.

Eddie opened up about all his children on "The Ellen Show" in late 2019. "Men kind of look at me like, 'He's crazy! How much did that sh*t cost?'" he said. "And women, it's kind of like there's something sexy about it, I think. 'Eddie Murphy must be doing his thing,'" he joked.

Eric Murphy

Eddie's first son, Eric, (far right), was born July 10, 1989, per Today. His mom is Paulette McNeely, who was Eddie's then-girlfriend. He has lived a relatively private life, though he went public with his girlfriend Jasmin Lawrence — the daughter of Martin Lawrence — in June 2021, per People.

Bria Murphy

Bria, Eddie's eldest daughter, was born on Nov. 18, 1989, and is Murphy's most well-known kid — she's a model, actor, and artist. She's appeared in TV series like "Baby Daddy" and in films including "The Perfect Match." She also tied the knot with fellow actor Michael Xavier in July 2022. Bria's mom is Nicole Murphy, a former model Eddie started dating in 1988. The two married in 1993 and divorced in 2006.

Christian Murphy

Christian, Eddie's second son, was born not long after Bria's birth, on Nov. 29, 1990. His mother is Tamara Hood, who was in a relationship with Eddie at the time.

Myles Mitchell Murphy

Eddie's son Myles was born on Nov. 7, 1992, per Essence. He is Nicole's second child and Eddie's fourth. He has a young daughter, named Evie, who was born in 2019, making Eddie a grandfather.

Shayne Audra Murphy

Shayne, who is Eddie's fifth child and Nicole's third, was born on Oct. 10, 1994. She appeared on the show "Hollywood Exes" in 2014 alongside her mom and sister, per People, and runs an Instagram dedicated to her love of cooking.

Zola Ivy Murphy

Daughter Zola — Eddie's sixth and Nicole's fourth child — was born Dec. 24, 1999, per Today. She appeared on the show "Hollywood Exes" alongside her mom and sister.

Bella Zahara Murphy

Bella, Eddie's seventh child, was born on Jan. 29, 2002, and is the youngest of Nicole's five kids. She's since followed in her parents' footsteps, making her debut in "Coming 2 America" alongside her dad and also appeared in the movie "Fairyland," which premiered at Sundance in 2023.

Angel Iris Murphy Brown

Angel was born on April 3, 2007, per the BBC. Her mom is Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B or Scary Spice from the Spice Girls, whom Eddie dated in 2006.

Izzy Oona Murphy

Eddie's daughter Izzy was born on May 3, 2016. Her mom is actor Paige Butcher, whom Eddie has been in a relationship with since 2012. Butcher and Eddie later got engaged in 2018.

Max Charlie Murphy

Max, Eddie's youngest child and his second with Butcher, was born on Nov. 30, 2018, per Entertainment Weekly. According to Today, his middle name pays tribute to Eddie's late brother, Charlie, who died from leukemia in 2017.
