In 2015, Eddie Redmayne was confirmed to play the lead, Newt Scamander.

Katherine Waterston as Porpetina

Boardwalk Empire star Katherine Waterston has been cast as Porpetina, aka Tina, an American witch.

Ezra Miller as Kredan

Miller, who plays The Flash in the DC movie universe, is is playing Credence, a secondary male lead.

Samantha Morton

Morton joined the cast as Mary Lou.

Alison Sudol as Queenie

First-time actress Alison Sudol has been cast as Queenie, Tina's younger sister.

Dan Fogler as Jacob

Comedian Dan Fogler will play Jacob, another magician.

Colin Farrell as Graves

Colin Farrell will star as Percival Graves, another wizard whom Newt meets in New York.

Carmen Ejogo

Selma star Carmen Ejogo has joined the film as Seraphina.

Gemma Chan

Chan's role has not been released.

Jon Voight

Ray Donovan star Voight has joined the cast as Henry Shaw, Sr.

Ron Perlman as Gnarlack

Sons of Anarchy's Ron Perlman has joined the cast as a goblin.

Zoë Kravitz

In August, it was reported that Kravitz was added to the roster after production began, and has a small role in the first film. There's also talk that she'll be returning with a "meatier part" in the sequel.
