Grown-ish is already shaping up to be one of the most talked about shows of 2018, and it hasn't even aired yet. The Black-ish spinoff received lots of buzz when it was first announced in May. The Freeform series, set to premiere Jan. 3, will follow Dre Johnson's eldest daughter, Zoey, as she heads off to California University to try her hand at college life. Of course, this means she'll be faced with new challenges like tedious term papers, final exams, and yes, booze-filled college parties and crushes. Ah, the good 'ol days. Shahidi will explore what it means to be "grown-ish" when she heads off to college in this freshman series.

Trevor Jackson as Aaron Jackson

The former Disney actor will play the (handsome) love interest of Zoey.

Deon Cole as Charlie Telphy

Cole will reprise his role as Charlie, who happens to be a part-time marketing professor at Zoey's school.

Francia Raisa as Ana Torres

Selena Gomez's BFF will play "an outspoken conservative freshman" on the show.

Chris Parnell as Dean Parker

The Saturday Night Live veteran will serve as the dean of Zoey's school.

Luka Sabbat as Luca Hall

Luka's character is described as "a free-spirited, wannabe existentialist" who also attends California University.

Chloe and Halle Bailey as Jazlyn and Skyler

Beyoncé's protegees Chloe and Halle will play twin sisters Jazlyn and Skyler, who are members of the school's track team.

Emily Arlook as Nomi Segal

Zoey and Nomi (played by Arlook) are poised to form a beautiful friendship while navigating the crazy, wonderful world that is college.

Jordan Buhat as Vivek
