After releasing a surprise collaboration with newcomer Trevor Daniel, Selena Gomez just dropped the video set to the remix of Daniel's catchy song "Past Life" on July 14. Similar to the clever lyric video, the visual showcases both artists singing to each other over Instagram Live before it transitions into vast landscapes.

The song alludes to the experience of walking away from toxic situations or relationships, with lines like, "Thinking how I used to use you, only thing I'm used to / Last night was the last night of my past life." Gomez expressed being immediately drawn to the song in a video chat with Daniel: "I loved the fact that it was kind of like a story about all the things that we tend to hold onto."
