The When They See Us actor plays a young father living with his parents. In the first episode, we learn that he lives in Philadelphia, where Randall and Beth's family just moved, and he immediately hits it off with Deja at a party. Perhaps he's Deja's future love interest?

Blake, who also starred on When They See Us, plays Malik's mother, who helps him take care of his daughter.
