Where You Can Watch These Game of Thrones Stars Now That the Series Has Ended

It was a long eight years, Game of Thrones fans, but our watch has finally ended. The final episode of HBO's groundbreaking series aired on May 19, and we had to say goodbye to our favorite Westerosi. Even though fans were not shy about how they felt about the series finale, we're all going to miss watching the performances of the show's amazing cast. Over the years, the Thrones cast have gone from mostly unknowns to bona-fide Hollywood stars; many have already taken on high-profile roles in other big franchises, too.

While their Westerosi characters will be gone from our screens, many of the cast members won't be! The show's biggest stars already have their next projects lined up, and we've rounded up some of the upcoming titles where you can watch your favorites now that the curtain has fallen on Game of Thrones. (At least until the prequel series comes around!)

Kit Harington

Harington is going from one megafranchise to the next! The 32-year-old actor will be venturing from the North right into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, joining the star-studded cast of Marvel's upcoming film The Eternals. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige confirmed at the 2019 D23 convention that Harington will be portraying Dane Whitman, aka the Black Knight, and reuniting with former Game of Thrones costar Richard Madden, who played Jon's cousin, Robb Stark.

Sophie Turner

After wrapping her role as Sansa Stark, Turner returned to the role of another complicated young heroine: young Jean Gray in the latest iteration of X-Men. Though Turner hasn't revealed her next role, she has joked about being "so down" to tackle Boy George in the upcoming biopic on his life!

Maisie Williams

Williams and her GOT sister, Sophie Turner, have been close over the years, and they're about to have even more in common. Williams joins the X-Men universe as Wolfsbane in X-Men: The New Mutants, the first thriller in the franchise. Though the film has been pushed back a few times, it is currently slated for a 2020 release.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

The Danish-born actor is returning to his roots now that Thrones has wrapped up. Coster-Waldau stars in Suicide Tourist, a mysterious romantic drama that involves collaborators from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Germany. The film is set to drop on Nov. 21 in Denmark.

Peter Dinklage

Dinklage is following the intensity of his GOT role with a pair of voice roles in family-friendly animated sequels. He voiced Mighty Eagle in The Angry Birds Movie 2 and will voice Phil Betterman in The Croods 2. Both are brand-new roles for the sequels.

Lena Headey

After giving us all the scathing one-liners and side-eyes as Westeros's Queen Cersei, Headey will star in the badass female-led action thrillerGunpowder Milkshake alongside Karen Gillan, Angela Bassett, Michelle Yeoh, and Carla Gugino.

Gwendoline Christie

Christie is one of those rare actors who's starred in two massive pop culture universes simultaneously: her role on GOT as Brienne of Tarth has overlapped with her Star Wars turn as the villainous Captain Phasma. Christie is currently reprising her role as Phasma in Star Wars Resistance, an animated series set in the years before The Force Awakens, which has been renewed for a second season.

Emilia Clarke

One of Thrones's biggest breakout stars, Clarke has a pair of very different films in the pipeline. Above Suspicion will see her playing an FBI informant, based on a true story. Meanwhile, she's also starring in Paul Feig's new rom-comLast Christmas alongside Crazy Rich Asians leading man Henry Golding.

Alfie Allen

After suffering for years as Theon Greyjoy, Allen is ready for some lighter or quirkier roles. He stars in the Taika Waititi-helmed WWII satire JoJo Rabbit, set to hit theaters on Oct. 18.
