With all those antics at the NBA Finals, I just knew my guy Drake would drop a song or two whether the Toronto Raptors won or not. Luckily for my ears, Coach Aubrey was in a celebratory mood after his beloved team took home the championship. In this edition of What I'm Listening to This Week, I've been playing "Money in the Grave" on repeat, and my beloved Snoh Aalegra also delivered a beautiful, gospel-tinged tune that will make you want to fall in love. Here's what you should slam the play button on this week and why.
"Money in the Grave" by Drake feat. Rick Ross
I was waiting to see what Drake was going to do after the Toronto Raptors took home this year's NBA Championship title, and lo and behold, he went ahead and gave us a banger. I've been bumping this Rick Ross-featured track on repeat — it's no "Nice For What," but it'll definitely work for my Summer soundtrack!
"Find Someone Like You" by Snoh Aalegra
My beloved Swedish songstress Snoh Aalegra dropped a new track for me to obsess over. Seriously, I think this one has wedding song potential (not for me, but you know. . . for someone else). Prepare to listen over and over.
"Down Bad" by Dreamville feat. JID, Bas, J. Cole, Earthgang, and Young Nudy
You're not just going to dangle a J.Cole feature in front of my face and expect me not to get my life. This song from the rapper's Dreamville Records mixtape has taken the top spot on my running playlist.
