6 Things You Need to Know About Alden Ehrenreich, the New Han Solo
Alden Ehrenreich was introduced to the world as the new Han Solo for the first time over the weekend at Star Wars Celebration Europe, and we can't wait to see him fill Harrison Ford's shoes. We have a while to go until the Han Solo spinoff is released, but for now we can at least get to know the rising star. Here's what you need to know about Ehrenreich, including the fact that you've almost definitely seen him in a movie before!
His First Role Was on Supernatural
Lil' Ehrenreich played Ben Collins in the second-ever episode of Supernatural, "Wendigo."
He's Worked With Some of the Best Directors in the Business
Ehrenreich starred alongside Vincent Gallo in Francis Ford Coppola's 2009 drama, Tetro, and had a part in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine in 2013. Not bad for a 26-year-old.
He's Already Been a YA Star
Ehrenreich played Ethan Wate, the male lead in 2013's Beautiful Creatures. Though the movie didn't perform terribly well, his climb to Young Heartthrob status got a big boost here.
He Was the Breakout of Hail, Caesar!
In a movie full of stars (George Clooney, Scarlett Johansson, and Channing Tatum being just a few), it was Ehrenreich that critics couldn't stop talking about.
You'll See Him on the Big Screen Before the Han Solo Movie
Ehrenreich is starring in two movies hitting theaters in the coming months: the drama Rules Don’t Apply, with Lily Collins, and the war film The Yellow Birds, with Jennifer Aniston.
