Best Affordable Tandem Double Stroller
Mockingbird Single-to-Double Stroller 2.0 ($450)
The Mockingbird Tandem is an expandable stroller that offers luxury features at a more affordable price. A modular design, it has 22 different arrangements. Among these options, it can convert from a single to double stroller using the second seat kit ($145) and accommodate a third child with a riding board ($95). The seats are designed for babies who can sit by themselves around 6-7 months, so if you plan to use it with a newborn or an infant, an accessory like the infant seat insert ($35) can be purchased. While many tandem strollers have different weight limits for the top and bottom seats, both Mockingbird seats accommodate children up to 45 lbs. It has a one handed fold and automatically locks and stands upright when folded. A great option for city dwellers, it works well indoors and on paved sidewalks. At 35 lbs with two seats attached, it is on the heavier side which can make it challenging to push on uneven surfaces.

Best Lightweight Double Stroller
Zoe Twin Lightweight Double Stroller ($529)
At only 23lbs and 30 inches wide, The Zoe Twin stroller is ideal for travel. Whether you'll be frequently loading it into cars or planes, saving an extra few pounds can make a big difference. It can also convert to a triple or quadruple stroller with the purchase of add-on seats ($219). It works best on smooth surfaces as its wheels aren't as large and durable as some of the other strollers included in this list.

Best Double Stroller Wagon
Veer All-Terrain Two Seat Wagon Stroller ($700)
The Veer All Terrain Cruiser, a PS select for best cruiser wagon, is a push-pull stroller wagon that's ready for rugged adventures. As children get older, a wagon is a much more fun way to travel than a traditional stroller, providing them better views and more space. The Veer Wagon is perfect for trips to farmers' markets, loading up for a day at the beach (with beach wheels ($249) available in December), and park adventures where it can tackle grass, gravel, and dirt. Bonus, it can be hosed down for an easy clean (no fabric inserts to wash.) At 32.6lbs, it feels very solid and sturdy. It's important to note that it does have a higher price tag and accessories traditionally found in a stroller like retractable canopy ($59) and storage basket ($79) are sold separately.

Best Overall Side-by-Side Double Stroller
Baby Jogger City Mini GT2 All-Terrain Double Stroller($720)
The Baby Jogger Citi Mini 2 stands out as a side-by-side stroller that folds in one step. If you're a parent who will be taking the stroller in and out of a car, a quick fold is invaluable. The Citi Mini is easy to maneuver and is narrow for its design at 29.25 inches, making passing through doorways a breeze. This is a solid stroller weighing 36.5lb and featuring rubber tires that handle terrain like uneven sidewalks and gravel well. The two seats can adjust their recline and leg control independently, allowing each child to have their most comfortable ride. It's worth noting that it is compatible with one infant car seat which would make it appropriate for two toddlers or one toddler and one infant but would not be ideal for infant twins.

Best All-Terrain and Jogging Double Stroller
Thule Urban Glide All-Terrain Double Stroller ($850)
Thule Urban Glide 3 Double is an all-terrain stroller that is perfect for active parents. I love using it for runs and am most impressed with how well it maneuvers - even with one hand. I'm currently training for a half marathon and the only way I'm able to log enough miles each week is by bringing my children with me on some of the runs. While it was a bit of a learning curve to get my toddlers to enjoy it, it's now become a fun activity. The ride is smooth on both city sidewalks and rougher terrain. My kids feel secure and aren't being jostled around no matter how quickly I run (which admittedly, is more of a jog than a sprint.) If you're a runner that is aiming for speed, the Urban Glide has a swivel front wheel which locks into place when jogging at high speeds to ensure safety. If you're looking to take it on the go, it has a one-handed fold and I was able to fit it in the trunk of my large SUV, though it may be tight in a compact car. At 35lbs, it is heavy so not a stroller I would use for daily errands or travel. Its width is 31.5 inches which fits through doorways but sometimes requires a bit of maneuvering.

Best Double Stroller For Versatility
The Austlen Entourage 2.0 ($1300)
The Austlen Entourage 2 is a versatile stroller with over 30 configurations, more than any of this list. It can be a stroller in one instance and a luggage cart that can bear 200lbs in the next. Ready to grow with your children, the primary seat can accommodate 65 lbs and it has a sit + stand board that can fit up to 75lbs, the average weight of a 9 year old. At 36.5 lbs, with two seats attached, it weighs more than most double strollers but is designed to roll into your trunk for a light lift.
Editor Quote: "Consider the Austlen Entourage the pack mule of strollers. It can be a single stroller, a double stroller (two car seats, a seat and a car seat, etc.), a stroller-and-a-half (similar to a traditional sit-and-stand), a laundry hauler, cargo transporter, and grocery cart, and on and on. It will truly be the most versatile stroller on the market." - Rebecca Gruber, former senior vice president of branded content

Best Overall Tandem Double Stroller
Bugaboo Kangaroo Tandem Stroller ($1448)
The Bugaboo Kangaroo excels in all of the criteria that are important to me for a double stroller. First, it's a tandem stroller that's actually easy to push. In testing double strollers, I've found that the trade-off for the slim design is that tandems can sometimes feel nearly impossibly for me, as a 5'2 person, to easily push the 100 lb load (between the stroller and toddlers.) It's a next level of panic when I start to go on walk with a new stroller and then realize it can't handle the turns, uneven sidewalk, or gritty snow. I've had no such issues with the Kangaroo. It has a beautifully smooth stroll and maneuverability.
It is a dream stroller if you're frequently going to be loading it into a car thanks to the one handed fold, width of 24.4 inches, and its comparatively light weight at 28.6lb. While it does have a steep price tag, it's versatile, with over 20 configurations to accommodate newborn to big kids. One configuration that stood out to me is the ability to have the bassinet in the upper position, so you can keep your eye on the younger baby, with the larger child in the lower position. It's convertible and can be used as a single stroller and can also use a comfort wheeled board ($140) to accommodate three children. The main seat can carry up to 50lbs while the sibling seat can carry up to 40 lbs when in the lower position.
