The In Kidz Black History Month Box "Fills the Gaps" That Traditional Schooling Leaves Out
As parents, we're determined to give our kids a well-rounded understanding of their heritage as well as American history. And while traditional school curriculum may provide a brief overview of important events when it comes to achievements in Black communities, it leaves a lot to be desired. Fortunately, In Kidz's Black History Month Box gives little kids a deeper look into notable events and people who have helped shape our nation.
"The box focuses on the varied ways Black Americans have enriched and expanded American culture beyond what children learn in the classroom," reads the In Kidz website. "Our Black History Box is curated for kids to help fill the gaps that school systems have not filled. This box includes fun activities that explore the work of Black scientists, inventors, authors, business owners, musicians, athletes, and political leaders, etc."
Sourced from mostly Black-owned businesses, these engaging books, themed puzzles, and other treasures make learning about Black history fun. Scroll ahead to get an in-depth look at what this incredible box has to offer!
