Wherever BTS goes, they will leave a trail of broken records and sold-out fashion items in their wake. It's inevitable: just look at the frenzy that followed the idols from Seoul as they traveled to America for their record-breaking mini-tour Permission to Dance in LA. When the confetti settled, the global superstars had sold 214,000 tickets, earning $33.3 million for the four-night run, and injecting an estimated $100+ million into the Los Angeles economy (thanks to their legion of fans, ARMY, flocking to the city from all corners of the world).
And they looked fly as hell doing it.
From award shows to performances to (well-deserved) days off, Bangtan's brief Los Angeles residency was a parade of sartorial serves. Let's relive that glorious LA run and the pure fashion bliss BTS gifted us.

American Music Awards Red Carpet
For their first stop in LA, BTS appeared on the AMAs red carpet in various shades of gray suiting from Virgil Abloh's spring 2022 menswear collection for Louis Vuitton.
Later, they'd pick up their (much deserved!) Pop Song of the Year and Artists of the Year award in these suits.

American Music Awards ‘Butter’ Performance
Our favorite idols turned the AMAs into a BTS concert by performing twice! For their pop sensation 'Butter,' they wore bespoke suits from Seoul atelier TAILORABLE in cheery, sunshine hues.

Partying With Lizzo
On a rare night off, j-hope, Jimin, Jungkook, and V partied with Lizzo at Harry Styles' Love of Tour concert. V vibed in Supreme's shadow t-shirt (about $62 on resale markets) and JK wore a fuzzy leopard hoodie ($850) and matching shorts ($790) from AMIRI.

For a performance of "Permission to Dance" on James Corden, Bangtan wore coordinating pastel looks. From left to right, j-hope wore a green jacquard paisley jacket from Dries Van Noten ($1,375), Jimin wore the logo-jacquard denim jacket ($1,038) and matching pants from Casablanca, while Jin wore a check bouclé-tweed jacket from Amiri ($2,050). Press Conference at So-Fi Stadium
While meeting with journalists before sound-check on D2, BTS wore dark suits from Louis Vuitton.
Sound Check at So-Fi Stadium
RM took a moment before sound check to snap a pic wearing one of his all-time favorite streetwear brands, Fear of God. The rapper wore the brand's baseball hoodie ($695) under a leather bomber jacket from their collab with Ermenegildo Zegna ($4,675).
Sound Check at So-Fi Stadium
j-hope posed on stage before sound check in two extremely rare pieces of hypebeast streetwear: a yellow scarf from Yayoi Kusama's collaboration with Louis Vuitton (about $580 in the resale markets) and Chrome Hearts Matty Boy Call Me shirt (about $750 in the resale markets).

On Stage with Megan Thee Stallion at So-Fi Stadium
On D2, Megan Thee Stallion joined BTS for a version of "Butter" that just about blew the roof off of SoFi stadium. The Bangtan men looked as sweet as candy in their pastels.
j-hope wore the puff bucket hat from Khrisjoy ($275) with Casablanca's belted single-breasted jacket ($2,432) and their matching Rio pleated pants (on sale for $315) next to Jimin in Casablanca's Laurel embroidered '70s denim jacket ($741). Jin wore the Cuban collar silk shirt from Casablanca (on sale for $550) while V donned the brand's bomber jacket ($1,524) and SUGA wore Casablanca's allover graphic printed shirt as a jacket (on sale for $600).
Backstage at So-Fi Stadium
For the final songs of the concert, Jin changed into the now-mythic Permission to Dance tour merch long-sleeve tee. Fans waited up to nine hours in line on concert days for the chance to snap one up and the shirts are currently selling on resale markets for up to $500. The hyung of BTS accessorized with a plushie of his "son" RJ ($33), a cute alpaca who Jin created for the group's BT21 series.
Backstage at So-Fi Stadium With Halsey
BTS posed with friend and collaborator Halsey as they came to watch D4 of Permission to Dance.
The idols appear to be wearing all Rick Owens as they opened the show with "On," their stadium-shaking hit that also featured an all-Rick Owens wardrobe for the music video.
On stage, Jungkook wore a Rick Owens' membrane tank from spring/summer 2018 ($400 on resale markets) and j-hope looked incredible in Rick Owens' Gary flight suit (on sale for $976).
V-Live After Parties
BTS famously doesn't attend after parties, preferring instead to head back to their hotel rooms to post selfies for and livestream with ARMY (swoon!). The Bangtan men took turns posting and hosting the V-Lives and, when it was SUGA's selfie night, he wore the orange-tinted cheek sunglasses from Double Lovers ($159) and the hope necklace from Korean designer flan (50,000 South Korean won, or about $42) layered with the shooting star necklace from A BIT MOR (65,000 won, or about $55).
Jin’s Viral Birthday Gift: Super Tuna
For Jin's birthday, he surprised us with a gift — what a guy! The fisherman of BTS created a super fun, super catchy song about hunting and eating his favorite fish: Super Tuna! The song was an instant viral hit, much to Jin's embarrassment, but how could the world resist falling in love?
Jin wore Carharrt loose fit washed denim bib overalls ($60) for the choreography video with a custom made (translation: he painted it) Super Tuna tee. Both him and his back-up dancers had some unexpected accessories: squeaky toys! The dog toys, Sting Crosy the Ray ($10), Shifty Sid the Squid ($12), and Moby Lick the Whale ($10), are from BARK's "Under the Seams" line. When BarkBox delightedly tweeted about the plushies' cameo, the tweet became their most popular one ever in just 15 minutes thanks to the power of ARMY.
Jin Visits Six Flags
While enjoying a day off, Jin visited Six Flags and ate a (well-deserved) giant funnel cake while wearing his Super Tuna 'fit along with a new souvenir: a satin Superman cape (I found it on Poshmark for $25!).

Jingle Ball Red Carpet
For a post-concert victory lap, BTS hit the Jingle Ball red carpet to remind us once again they are the finest brand ambassadors that Louis Vuitton has ever had. This time, the global superstars wore pieces from NIGO x Virgil Abloh's LV² Pre-Spring 2022 collection.
From left to right, V wore the monogram trunkstripes cropped peacoat ($3,450), next to SUGA in his embroidered Louis Vuitton mockneck tee ($820). Jin wore an adorable intarsia jacquard duck crewneck ($955) next to JK in his monogram crazy denim pants ($1,800). RM looked cool with his LV made bucket hat ($760), giant damier laces windbreaker ($2,910) with the matching sneakers ($1,300). Jimin looked sweet in the sophisticated tiger cardigan ($1,800) next to Hobi who was outfitted in the gorgeous monogram colorblock tailored denim jacket ($2,630).
