#FBF: 7 Stars Who Rocked a Dress Over Flared Jeans

When we woke up this morning, we found that Anne Hathaway had already Instagrammed the best throwback shot of the week. The picture in question — a red carpet shot of the actress at the Ella Enchated premiere in a knee-length embroidered dress and flared jeans — brought back fond fashion memories. Remember when just about every star rocked this trend? At photo calls and other A-list events, mind you.

Anne's 'gram might've been a #TBT, but for the sake of #FlashbackFriday, we rounded up six other celebs who pulled off the look right around '04, when it was really, really cool. From Lindsay Lohan's ruffled look to Nicole Richie's bold move in all white, read on to see some of the style shots that will spark major nostalgia.

Anne Hathaway

Anne shared a photo of herself in an embroidered sundress, distressed flared jeans, and pointed-toe shoes, writing, "#tbt to the #EllaEnchanted premiere when I got it so, so right (and yes, a stylist who shall not be named helped me with this look #truth)"

Here's another angle of Anne's trendy look. Finishing the dress and jeans combo with a pair of pointed-toe shoes, which subtly poked out from under the pant leg, was key.

Mischa Barton

Mischa tried out the look at the Teen Choice Awards, throwing a sequined tunic with ruching over her denim.

Nicky Hilton

Was this Nicky Hilton's version of a Canadian tuxedo? She wore a lace-finished slipdress, which featured a denim graphic print, over dark-wash jeans.

Paris Hilton

Paris rocked the look with a sheer embellished tunic and additional glittering accessories.

Nicole Richie

Two can play that game, Paris. Nicole tried out the all-white version of the dress-over-jeans look.

But Nicole could master the trend in true blue denim, too — and her Juicy Couture terrycloth top, of course.

Rachel Bilson

Rachel hit the red carpet to promote The O.C. in this look that we'll never forget: a casual striped tunic dress that she completed with a brooch at the hip, flared jeans, and metallic sandals.

While her costars Mischa Barton and Melinda Clark looked sexy in minidresses, Rachel was glowing in her trendy coordinated separates.

Lindsay Lohan

Leave it to Lindsay to complete her ensemble with beads and a green popping clutch, in order to really stand out on the carpet.

Lindsay also tried out the style with a spaghetti-strap ruffled tunic.
