Here's How to Make Your Own High-Fashion Halloween Pumpkin

Think pumpkin decorating is just for kids? Think again. We got into the festive spirit and created our own — very stylish — pumpkin for you to try out at home. It's super easy (the project takes around 30 minutes total) and no carving is necessary. All you need is a bottle of spray paint (we chose gold, but silver, red, and black work just as well) and some studs, and you're set to craft your own high-fashion Halloween decorations. Materials needed: One medium to small-sized pumpkin, studs/embellishments, and metallic spray paint.

We opted for a gold acrylic spray paint with a high gloss finish.

Feel free to experiment with your favorite embellishments. We opted for silver thumbtacks and antique gold floral embellishments for our theme .

Directions: Spray a heavy coat of metallic paint on your pumpkin in an open, ventilated area and allow to dry (around 20 minutes).

Start inserting your studs/embellishments of choice once the metallic spray paint finish is completely dry. Quick tip: use the natural pumpkin striations as an easy guide.

Continue adding studs along the sides and top of the pumpkin, making sure the spaces between each stud/embellishment are equidistant to one another.

Voilà! Metallic, studded, and pretty awesome if you ask us.
