It can often feel like LaKeith Stanfield is from another time than the one we're currently in. On screen, the mysterious actor time travels with ease, portraying characters from a variety of decades. His red carpet choices are no different.
For the 2021 Academy Awards on April 25, LaKeith, whose performance in Judas and the Black Messiah earned him a nomination for best supporting actor, wore a Saint Laurent jumpsuit that seemed plucked right out of the '70s. A custom design by the brand's creative director Anthony Vaccarello, the jumpsuit featured a slight wide-leg silhouette, and was paired with a white shirt with large lapels, a black belt with a circular gold buckle, a chainlink necklace, and square sunglasses.
"Pulled up to the Oscars lookin like your uncle but since it's a dry bar I'm going back home," the famously candid actor wrote on Instagram. He added, "Good luck to the nominees tho!" See photos of the throwback look ahead.
