DWTS's Cheryl Burke Diagnosed With COVID-19 Hours Before Her Next Taping With Cody Rigsby

In a tearful Instagram video, Cheryl Burke, Cody Rigsby's Dancing With the Stars partner, confirmed that she has received a positive COVID-19 PCR test. Over the course of the three-minute video, Burke documents her journey from driving to her 7 a.m. COVID-test appointment (she woke up feeling run-down and "scared") to expressing remorse over her positive test.

Burke makes it very clear that she is fully inoculated with the Moderna vaccine, so this seems to have been a breakthrough case. Processing her positive diagnosis during the latter half of the video, Burke says she "feels so bad for Cody." Having been diagnosed the day before a taping of DWTS, she's unable to perform and must quarantine for 10 days.

In the video, Burke leaves viewers with a strong message: "For those of you who don't think COVID is a real thing, it's [expletive] real."

For those wondering if Rigsby will perform tonight on DWTS, Peloton has confirmed via Instagram that he'll be hitting the dance floor.
