Miss Your Favorite Olympians? No Worries — They're All on the VMAs Red Carpet

Like witnessing teachers outside of school, it's admittedly a little confusing to see Olympians outside of, well, the Olympics. Just a week after the end of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, many American athletes arrived at the MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden to prove that they can still shine without literally wearing their many gold medals.

Gymnasts Simone Biles, Laurie Hernandez, Aly Raisman, and Madison Kocian all arrived and posed together on the red carpet. The Final Five's missing member, Gabby Douglas, was unfortunately not in attendance. Meanwhile, Michael Phelps — the most decorated Olympic athlete ever — posed with his fiancée, Nicole Johnson.
