This Target Garland Made My Home Feel Festive in Seconds

Every November — yes, I said November— I look forward to decorating for Christmas. Putting up my tree and other holiday decorations gets me in the festive mood, making the cold weather in New York City more tolerable. This year, I was even more excited to break out my decor after getting the Hearth & Hand With Magnolia 6' Pre-Lit LED Needle Pine With Pinecones Seasonal Faux Garland ($40).

I got the Hearth & Hand garland with the intention of putting it up in my living room. I had been on the hunt for the perfect garland to place on top of my TV stand after seeing countless inspiration photos on TikTok and Pinterest of homes with greenery on their mantels. Sadly, my current apartment doesn't have a fireplace, but I still wanted to re-create the same look.

There are so many different garland styles out there — far more than I ever realized. I wanted something simple and classic with lights, and this garland delivered. I love the white lights that are wrapped around the greenery — they're not too yellow but not the least bit cool toned, either. It also has small pinecones scattered throughout it, but not too many that it looks too earthy or rustic for my home. Both ends feature a loop so you can easily hang it, but I laid it on top of my TV stand.

This prelit garland is six feet long, making it a great length for hanging on a fireplace or on top of a table. If you're looking for something to wrap around your balcony or porch railing or stairs, it may not be long enough.

This decoration is a great garland option for anyone looking to dress up their home for the holidays in a classic way. The garland can be layered or used alone. It's very full on its own.
