Jenna Bush Shades Trump by Sharing Her Dad's Sept. 11 Speech About Islam

After Donald Trump's executive order banning citizens from seven Muslim countries on Friday led to widespread protests, former first daughter Jenna Bush Hager posted the words of a speech her father, President George W. Bush, gave at the Washington Islamic Center a week after the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The former first daughter tweeted a segment of the speech with the reminder to "teach acceptance and love to our kids of all races, all religions."

Despite holding office during one of the most horrific atrocities in American history, President Bush made sure to assure Muslim Americans that they still belonged. His speech included language explaining that terrorists using Islam as a justification for violence were going against the beliefs of Islam itself. "The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam," he said. "That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace."
