These cute cupcakes are perfect for puppy birthday parties or special occasions.

Bananas have long been recognized for their antacid effects and their ability to protect against stomach ulcers and ulcer damage. Substances in bananas help activate the cells that compose the stomach lining, so they produce a thicker protective mucus barrier against stomach acids. Bananas also contain substances called protease inhibitors, which help eliminate the bacteria in the stomach that may be a primary cause of stomach ulcers.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups Honest Kitchen Embark® grain-free turkey dehydrated dog food 1 cup warm water 1/2 cup almond meal 2 free-range eggs 2 tablespoons honey, agave nectar, or molasses 2 ripe bananas, mashed Optional: 1/2 cup plain yogurt for topping

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  2. Grease a 12-cup muffin pan with a little butter or vegetable oil.

  3. Combine the Embark® and almond meal together in a large mixing bowl.

  4. Stir in the eggs, and then gradually add the honey (agave or molasses) and water.

  5. Fold in the chopped bananas.

  6. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes, until you can insert a toothpick and it comes out clean.

  7. Let cool on a rack for 10 minutes.

  8. Top with the plain yogurt if you'd like.

  9. Serve them up — and feel ever so popular!
