In short: October Prime Day is Amazon's answer to Black Friday, except bigger, better, and even more consumer friendly because the deals span a number of categories and are available to shop on one singular site. The global savings event takes place over a two-day period and encompasses some of Amazon's biggest deals of the season on a variety of bestselling products; the summer showcase featured major markdowns on the editor-loved Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask ($17, originally $24) and Samsung Frame TV ($720, originally $948), to name a few.

When Does Prime Day End?

October Prime Day officially ends on Oct. 9 at 11:59 p.m. PDT, which is 3:00 a.m. ET for people on the East Coast. But the deals aren't completely over at that time. With an Amazon Prime Membership, members can get access to exclusive deals come October Prime Day 2024, as well as perks like free shipping.
