As the days get longer, the temperatures slowly begin to rise, and the vaccine rollout steadily continues, we're looking forward to incorporating more outdoor activities into our daily lives — safely, of course. For my foray into the world, my garment of choice is, has, and may very well always be bike shorts. How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Comfortable, easy-to-wear, and, yes, chic, bike shorts have become my go-to whenever I'm in urgent need of something cute and simple.
Really, it's no wonder the trend has experienced a resurgence in recent years, with celebrities from Hailey Bieber to Kim Kardashian sporting the athleisure staple. Whether paired with a classic trench coat and Birkenstocks for running errands or an oversize button-down and sandals for a decidedly more classic, put-together vibe, bike shorts are without a doubt my go-to for all of the things.
